Budget
When you decide that you want to get a new airsoft gun you have to first consider your budget. Your budget usually also reflects the kind of play you participate in. The people with a low budget are usually backyard or occasional recreational players, whereas those with high budgets are usually serious players who participate in large scenario games. I will consider three budgetary ranges for purchasing airsoft guns:
- backyard budget, $5-120,
- a recreational budget, $120-250, and
- a professional budget, $250+.
These prices generally apply to automatic electric guns or AEGs. This guide will also cover airsoft sniper rifles, shotguns, support weapons, and sidearms.
Backyard Airsoft Guns
When you play with small groups of people from time to time, whether it is physically in someone’s backyard or not, you fall into this category. Backyard players sometimes tend to also buy airsoft guns in the recreational budget range. When you play in these small games you tend to look for a decent range but still a low price. Low end spring rifles and shotguns are recommended for this kind of play.
